“연어 주사와 같은 효과를 바늘 없이 얻는다.” 의학적으로는 아닙니다. 위에서 말한 장벽 때문에 주사 연구 결과가 크림에 그대로 적용되지 않습니다.

- 당일. 주사 자리마다 작은 볼록한 자국, 약간의 붉음과 압통. 볼록한 자국은 보통 하루 정도면 가라앉습니다.
- 3일째. 볼록한 자국은 대부분 사라집니다. 멍이 생겼다면 이때 가장 눈에 띄는 경우가 많고, 보라색에서 노란색으로 변해 갑니다.
- 7일째. 멍은 대개 옅어졌거나 컨실러로 가릴 수 있습니다.
회복 속도는 사람마다 다르니, 시간 단위로 빠듯하게 계획하기보다 여유를 두세요.
출국 전 주의
출국 전날에는 주사 일정을 잡지 마세요. 여행 전반부에 잡아야 멍이나 부기가 생겨도 서울에 있는 동안 며칠 가라앉을 시간이 있습니다.
여행 기간으로 보면, 1회 시술은 초반에 잡는다면 짧은 체류에도 들어갑니다. 몇 주 간격의 전체 코스는 한 번의 짧은 방문에 들어가지 않으니, 회차를 여러 번의 여행으로 어떻게 나눌 수 있는지 예약할 때 물어보세요. 리쥬란 후 눈 밑이 어떻게 변하는지는 눈 밑 리쥬란에서 볼 수 있습니다.
알아 두어야 할 위험과 부작용
흔하고 일시적인 반응은 붉음, 작은 볼록한 자국, 가벼운 부기, 압통, 멍이며, 보통 며칠에서 일주일 정도면 가라앉습니다.
일반적인 의학적 기준으로, 해당 부위에 감염·입술 헤르페스·염증이 있거나, 최근 그 부위에 레이저나 필링을 받았거나, 이소트레티노인을 복용 중이거나 최근 복용했거나, 임신·수유 중이거나, 생선 또는 연어 유래 성분에 알레르기가 있다면 부스터를 미루거나 받지 않는 것이 좋습니다. 리쥬란은 정제된 연어 DNA로 만들기 때문입니다.
귀국 후 부기가 줄지 않고 커지거나, 부위가 뜨겁고 점점 아프거나 붉은 기가 퍼지거나, 열이 나면 기다리지 말고 현지 의사를 찾으세요. 시력에 변화가 있으면 즉시 응급 진료가 필요합니다. 미국 CDC는 의료 여행자에게 치료 기록 사본을 보관하고 출발 전에 귀국 후 진료 계획을 세워 두라고 권하며, 작은 주사 시술이라도 해 둘 만합니다.
