Hello, I'm Dr. Han Jin Yi, a board-certified plastic surgeon at Gangnam HERA, where skin boosters and skin regeneration are my focus. Many visitors to Seoul have only a few days here, so one of the most practical questions I get is: can I combine several treatments in one trip, and does that make sense? The case of @valeeedgal is a good way to answer it. Her post opened with "Strangest skin injection? RE20 (리투였)", and below it she shared her full treatment list: an RE20 skin booster, Soprano Titanium lifting, HIFU, and Sok-Sok face fat-dissolving injections. In this review I'll explain the booster part in depth, since that is my field, and then walk through the logic of how four treatments like these fit together, layer by layer.

Why combine four treatments instead of choosing one?

Because each one works at a different depth of the face, they do not repeat each other. Think of the face in layers. At the top are the epidermis and dermis, which decide texture, tone and how firm the skin feels. Below that is the fat layer, which shapes the contour of the cheeks and jawline. Deeper still is the SMAS, the fibrous layer that surgeons lift in a facelift and that focused ultrasound can reach without incisions. A skin booster improves the dermis; it cannot move the SMAS or remove fat. A lifting device firms tissue; it cannot replace collagen the way a collagen booster does. Fat dissolving changes contour; it does not improve skin quality. When a patient's goals span several layers, combining treatments is not "doing more" for its own sake β€” it is matching one tool to each layer instead of asking a single tool to do jobs it was never designed for.

What did Re2O contribute to the plan?

Re2O was the skin-quality piece: it supplements the dermis directly with collagen and elastin. Re2O is made from human-derived acellular dermal matrix, micronized and processed so that the cells are removed while the structural proteins remain. The raw material is US FDA-approved and AATB certified, and because the cellular components are removed, the risk of foreign-body sensation and inflammation is low. That is why she could call it the "strangest" injection without it being a risky one. The procedure takes about 30 minutes with only topical anesthetic cream, and the micronized collagen is micro-injected into the dermis. In a combination plan, Re2O is what keeps the surface from lagging behind: if you lift and slim a face but leave thin, dry skin over it, the result looks tighter but not fresher. Firmness, texture and volume from Re2O keep improving over several weeks as the dermis regenerates, so it is also the part of her plan that continues to develop after she leaves Seoul.

What do Soprano Titanium and HIFU add that a booster cannot?

They firm tissue with energy, at depths an injection does not target. Soprano Titanium is a laser lift that fires three wavelengths β€” 1064nm, 810nm and 755nm β€” at the same time. Its Stack Mode concentrates heat around 8mm deep for an intensive lift, while SHR Mode glides at 3–5mm for even warming that improves tone and elasticity, with continuous contact cooling so it feels gentle. HIFU, which she listed as "HIFU Laser," uses focused ultrasound rather than light, and reaches the SMAS. At HERA, HIFU lifting is delivered with devices such as 10Thera and Ultherapy, and the device, depths and shot lines are decided at consultation. Pairing a laser with ultrasound covers both the deep and the surface layers, because each device reaches where the other is limited. I want to be clear that these energy treatments are lifting procedures with their own planning and settings; my role in a plan like this is the booster, and my explanation here is about why the pieces belong together.

Where does Sok-Sok face injection fit in?

Sok-Sok face injection handles the contour part of the plan: it dissolves small, stubborn pockets of facial fat without incisions. A lipolytic solution is injected into targeted areas such as the double chin, jawline, buccal fat and side cheekbones, where it breaks down fat cells that the body then clears naturally over the following weeks. Topical numbing is usually enough, the injections take about 10 to 15 minutes, and slimming appears gradually over two to four weeks. This matters in a combination: lifting a face that carries heavy lower-face fat can only go so far, and refining that fat first gives the lifting treatments a cleaner contour to work on. Many patients see meaningful refinement with two to three sessions a few weeks apart. Below are real HERA patients who had the same Sok-Sok face injection; their photos show that part of the plan only, not the full combination.

How is a combination day organized, and what does recovery look like?

Each of these treatments has minimal downtime on its own, so the main thing to plan for is the swelling from fat dissolving. When we stack treatments on one day, the order is planned so that a handpiece is not pressed over areas that were just injected, and the doses are adjusted so the face is not overloaded in a single sitting. After a day like hers, you can expect brief warmth or flushing from the laser, possible mild redness or tenderness from HIFU that usually settles within a day, small injection bumps or redness from the booster, and swelling, redness or small bruises from Sok-Sok that usually settle within a few days. Results arrive on different timelines: some firming may be visible right away, the booster improves over several weeks, the HIFU lift develops over two to three months, and the contouring appears over two to four weeks. Results vary from person to person.

Who should not do everything in one visit?

A combination day is not right for everyone, and sometimes the honest plan is to split it. If you have only a small concern, one treatment is the proportionate answer. If you bruise easily or have an important event within a few days, I would separate fat dissolving from the rest. And Re2O requires a consultation to exclude contraindications such as pregnancy, active infection or a history of hypersensitivity. At HERA in Gangnam, international patients are treated by doctors, supported by English-speaking staff, and charged the same price as our Korean patients, with a written quote after consultation.

Is This for You?

Who this treatment is genuinely for

Signs it may be time to consider it

  • Your skin looks dry and thin even though your jawline still feels firm
  • Your lower face feels heavy because of fat under the chin or along the jaw
  • You notice early sagging but don't want surgery
  • A single treatment in the past improved one thing but not the overall look
  • You want results that keep developing after you fly home

It's a good fit if

  • You have limited days in Seoul and want to plan several treatments efficiently
  • Your concerns span skin quality, firmness and facial contour at once
  • You want each layer of the face treated by the tool designed for it
  • You prefer non-surgical treatments with minimal downtime

Not the right first step if: A same-day combination isn't the right plan if your concern is small, if you bruise easily before an important event, or if you're pregnant, have an active infection or a history of hypersensitivity β€” we decide the plan at an in-person consultation.

Good to Know

Questions patients actually ask

Can I combine Re2O, Soprano Titanium, HIFU and Sok-Sok in one visit?
It can be planned in one visit when your goals span several layers of the face and your consultation confirms it suits you. The order and doses are planned so the face is not overloaded in one sitting.
Why combine a skin booster with lifting treatments?
A booster improves the dermis, while lifting devices firm deeper tissue. Re2O supplements collagen and elastin, Soprano Titanium works in the epidermis and dermis, and HIFU reaches the SMAS, so they complement each other.
How much downtime does a combination day need?
Each treatment has minimal downtime on its own. The main thing to plan for is swelling, redness or small bruises from Sok-Sok, which usually settle within a few days.
When will I see results from a combination plan?
Results arrive on different timelines. Re2O improves over several weeks, Sok-Sok slimming appears over two to four weeks, and a HIFU lift develops over two to three months.
Which HIFU device does HERA use?
HERA offers HIFU lifting with devices such as 10Thera and Ultherapy. The device, depths and shot lines are chosen for your skin at consultation.
