Hello, I'm Dr. Lee Jong Hoon, the lifting specialist at Gangnam HERA β co-author of LIFTINGOLOGY and a foundation member of the Korean Academy of Facelift & Contouring. Elizaveta (@lizacheprasova) is a patient I treated myself, and she was kind enough to name me in her post. She arrived with one of the most common requests I hear from visitors, in her own words: "After exhausting work, I feel my skin needs some help." She did not come in asking for a particular device. She left the choice to us, and in her post she wrote that we selected the treatment that suited her: Titanium. So this review is about that decision: why, for skin that looks tired rather than truly sagging, I chose Titanium, and how we kept the session practically painless.
What did we see at the consultation?
We saw skin that had lost brightness and a little firmness, rather than skin that had dropped. Her visit began with a face scan, then a consultation with me, and only then did we decide on treatment. Tired-looking skin is usually a combination of two things: tone that has gone dull, and elasticity that has softened slightly, so the face reads as flatter and less fresh rather than heavy. What I check carefully is whether there is real structural sagging or significant volume loss underneath, because those call for a different plan. In her case the picture was mainly tone and firmness. She was also travelling, with limited time and no room for downtime. That combination is exactly where I find Titanium most useful.
Why Titanium rather than another lifting treatment?
Because it improves tone and elasticity in the same session, with little discomfort and virtually no downtime. Soprano Titanium uses light instead of ultrasound or radiofrequency: three wavelengths β 1064nm, 810nm and 755nm β fired together so heat reaches several depths at once, and firming and brightening happen together. Ultrasound-based lifts such as 10Thera work deeper, at the SMAS, and are an excellent choice when the concern is a heavier lower face. But for someone whose main complaint is fatigue in the skin itself, I prefer to start with the treatment that addresses both surface tone and dermal firmness, and that patients who are sensitive to pain tolerate well. The description that appeared in her own video β a treatment for skin rejuvenation, lifting and improving skin tone without surgery β is a fair summary of why it fitted her.
How did we keep it practically painless?
Comfort is planned in layers, not hoped for. After she cleansed her face, our team applied numbing cream over the face and down the neck and covered it so it could take effect. Before treating, I marked her face so I knew exactly where to concentrate. The device then does much of the work: continuous contact cooling protects the skin surface while the laser warms the tissue underneath, so most patients feel mild warmth rather than sharp heat. As her video notes, the first part of the treatment went at a slow tempo and the second half at a faster tempo. Titanium has two modes that are combined to suit each patient, and they feel different β Stack mode stamps concentrated heat around 8mm deep for an intensive lift, while SHR mode glides across the face, warming the 3β5mm layer evenly. Throughout, I adjust pace and energy to the patient's feedback. She described the whole process as "practically painless" and credited the care of both the doctor and the staff. I take that as a compliment to the whole team, but I also want to be straightforward: sensation varies, and some patients feel more warmth than she did.
What should you expect afterwards?
Very little downtime. Mild warmth or slight flushing may appear and fades quickly, and most patients walk straight back into their day. You may notice firmer, brighter skin shortly after the session, with further improvement over the following weeks as collagen rebuilds; the effect typically lasts around 6β12 months, depending on skin condition. Results vary from person to person. For tired skin, I usually suggest judging the result after a few weeks and then deciding together whether a short series makes sense. A single session gives a visible effect, but repeated sessions are often recommended when the goal is longer-lasting elasticity.
What did we deliberately leave out?
We did not add injectables or a second energy device in the same visit. When skin is tired, it is tempting to do everything at once, but I prefer one clear intervention so we can see exactly what the skin responds to. If the dullness had been driven mainly by dehydration or texture, we would have talked about a skin-booster approach instead; if deeper firming is needed later, Titanium pairs with 10Thera in what we call Dual-Line Tenti. Below are real HERA patients whose lifting plan included Soprano Titanium β in their case paired with 10Thera as Dual-Line Tenti, so the photos show the combined treatment rather than Titanium alone.
Who is this approach for?
It suits people whose skin looks tired, dull and slightly less firm β often after a demanding stretch of work β who want a visible refresh without surgery, without downtime and without much discomfort. It is not the answer for significant volume loss or heavy sagging. Elizaveta also mentioned two things that matter to visitors: there was no long wait, and an English-speaking staff member stayed with her throughout. At Gangnam HERA, international patients receive a written quote after consultation and pay the same price as our Korean patients β no foreigner markup.

Who this treatment is genuinely for
Signs it may be time to consider it
- People tell you that you look tired even when you've slept
- Your skin tone looks flatter and less bright than it used to
- Your face feels a little less firm, but not truly saggy
- You've avoided lifting treatments because you expected them to hurt
- You want one visit that improves tone and firmness together
It's a good fit if
- Your skin looks tired, dull and slightly less firm after a demanding period
- You'd like the doctor to choose the treatment that fits your skin, not a menu item
- You are sensitive to pain and want a lift that feels like gentle warmth
- You're travelling and need to return to your plans the same day
Not the right first step if: It isn't the right choice if your main concern is significant volume loss or heavy sagging, or if you have an active skin infection or inflammation in the treatment area β we always begin with an in-person consultation.

βIf these sound familiar, the problem is often tired skin rather than a sagging face β and that changes what I would recommend. Send a photo and a line about how your skin has changed; I'll tell you honestly whether Titanium fits or whether another approach would serve you better.β
