HERA Hosts 20+ Brazilian Physicians: CGBIO Visiting Clinician Program 2025

On 29β30 October 2025, HERA Clinic in Gangnam, Seoul hosted the CGBIO (DNC) Visiting Clinician Program β a two-day live seminar for a delegation of more than 20 physicians from Brazil. The programme combined lecture sessions with live demonstrations performed in our own treatment rooms, followed by an open Q&A.
Why an international training programme matters to you as a patient
If you are researching aesthetic treatment in Korea from abroad, one honest question is worth asking: how do I know a clinic actually knows what it is doing? Marketing photos cannot answer that. Being invited to teach practising physicians can.
Programmes like this one are not promotional events. Manufacturers select host clinics whose doctors can defend a technique in front of peers, demonstrate it live without editing, and answer hard questions about dilution ratios, anatomical risk and complication management. The physicians in the room are not patients β they are colleagues who will replicate the technique in their own practices.
What was taught: two techniques, two doctors
The teaching was split between HERA's two directors, each covering a technique they perform routinely.
Dr. Kim Jong Seon lectured on the "Goddess Ear Filler" β a contouring approach using DNC's D-Classy volume filler. It is a treatment that reshapes the ear region for facial balance, and one that is far more familiar in Korea than in most other markets.
Dr. Lee Jong Hoon lectured on correcting perioral lines with CaHA (calcium hydroxylapatite, D-Classy CaHA) β the folds around the mouth and the marionette lines that soften the lower face as it ages.
Live demonstrations in two treatment rooms
After the lectures, both techniques were demonstrated live β two treatment rooms running simultaneously, one for the ear filler and one for perioral and marionette line correction with CaHA. Attendees moved between rooms to observe.
Our doctors are candid about how the room felt beforehand. During the lecture portion, some of the visiting physicians were visibly unconvinced: why would anyone treat the ear? Would that even apply in Brazil? Is there really a distinctive way to handle perioral lines?
The before-and-after on a live patient changed that. Once the demonstrations finished, the questions came quickly β injection technique, dilution ratios, which anatomical planes to avoid, and how each protocol could be adapted to Brazilian practice. That Q&A was, by some distance, the most useful part of the day.
Certificates and recognition
At the close of the programme, Dr. Kim Jong Seon and Dr. Lee Jong Hoon each received a letter of appreciation from DNC (CGBIO), and HERA presented certificates of attendance to the visiting physicians. Group photographs were taken at the clinic's photo zone.
The detail we found most telling
Here is the part our team keeps coming back to. After the seminar ended and most of the delegation left for their next appointment, two of the visiting physicians stayed behind to receive treatment themselves from Dr. Lee and Dr. Kim. The following day, two more Brazilian doctors returned to the clinic to be treated.
Doctors are the most sceptical patients there are. They know exactly what can go wrong, and they are not swayed by a good result on someone else. Four of them choosing to sit in the chair themselves β after watching the technique performed and asking every difficult question they had β is a more meaningful endorsement than any before-and-after gallery.
What this means if you are travelling to Seoul
The techniques demonstrated that day are the same ones we perform for our own patients β there is no separate "export version". If you are considering treatment at HERA, the relevant points are these:
- The doctor who teaches the technique is the doctor who treats you. Dr. Kim and Dr. Lee both consult and treat directly; your case is not handed to a junior injector.
- Products are opened in front of you. The fillers used in the demonstration β D-Classy volume filler and D-Classy CaHA β are the same genuine products stocked for patient treatment.
- Same price as our Korean patients. There is no foreigner markup at HERA, and an English-speaking interpreter is on site.

Visiting HERA in Gangnam
HERA Clinic is a three-minute walk from Exit 9 of Gangnam Station. International patients are supported by an on-site English interpreter, and consultations are conducted directly by a board-certified doctor rather than a counsellor. If you are planning a trip, message us beforehand with a photo and your concern β we will tell you honestly whether a treatment suits you, how much recovery time to allow, and whether your travel dates leave enough room for aftercare.
