Is a Neuramis filler Korea trip something you can fit into one week, or will your lips and under-eyes still look swollen when you board the flight home?
Read this before you lock in the appointment date.
You'll learn what decides the price, which review claims hold up, how the injection method changes by area, and what the first seven days usually look like. Then you can pick the stay length and the plan that fit your face and your budget.
Hello, I'm Dr. Kim Jong Seon, Director of Gangnam HERA Plastic Surgery Clinic and a board member of the International Petit Medical Society.
At HERA, the specialist who consults with you is the one who performs your treatment. We use only genuine, approved products, and the sealed vial is opened in front of you. Foreign patients pay the same price as locals, and you get a written estimate before treatment.
I'm writing this because people often plan a filler trip around the brand name and forget about the swelling. The swelling is what decides when flying home feels comfortable.
Neuramis is a hyaluronic acid filler made in Korea. Most visible swelling usually settles within three to seven days, so book the injection early in your stay, never on your last day.
If you're still deciding which area to treat first, send one daylight photo of it on WhatsApp and ask whether filler is the right tool for that area.

What is Neuramis, and how much does the brand matter?
Neuramis is a hyaluronic acid (HA) filler. Your skin already contains HA. In filler form it is cross-linked into a gel, so it holds its shape for months before your body slowly breaks it down. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration classes HA fillers as temporary, absorbable products.
The range comes in versions of different firmness. People search most for the standard version and the 'Deep' version. Firmer gels are meant for deeper placement, where they have to hold structure. Some versions also have lidocaine, a local anesthetic, mixed into the gel to make the injection easier to tolerate.
So does the brand matter? Somewhat. What matters more is whether the gel's firmness suits the area and depth, how much goes in, and who places it. A firm gel that works on the bridge of a nose can show as a ridge under thin eyelid skin. Most questions I hear about Neuramis filler Korea trips come down to this, and I can't tell you from a blog page which brand or version will be used for you. The product and version are confirmed at your consultation, and the sealed vial is opened in front of you. I compare product choice and placement in more detail in Korean lip filler vs Juvederm. <</SECTION>>
Who it suits, who should wait, and the alternatives
HA filler fixes volume problems: a hollow groove under the eye, a low nasal bridge you'd like raised without surgery, thin lips, flat temples. It does little for loose, sagging skin. Using volume to push sagging skin upward is how faces end up overfilled, the 'pillow face' look people search about.
If sagging is the main issue, thread lifting or ultrasound lifting treats it differently. If crepey texture or fine lines bother you more than hollows, a skin booster such as Rejuran or Juvelook works on skin quality, not volume. All of these are on our menu, and which one fits is a question for the consultation.
Some people should wait or skip filler altogether. That list is in the risk section below.
Methods: how the plan changes for the nose, under-eyes, lips and temples
The method changes from area to area. Here is what generally differs.
- Nose: nose filler refines the profile with no incisions. A firmer gel is placed deep along the bridge. The nose has blood vessels that need careful placement, which I come back to in the risk section. More in nose filler in Korea.
- Under-eyes: the under-eye skin is the thinnest on the face, so I use a softer gel in small amounts. Before anything goes in, I check what is causing the hollow or the dark circle. If filler isn't the right fix, you'll hear that at the consultation. See eye rejuvenation filler and eye filler for sunken eyes.
- Lips: a soft gel. Of the common areas, lip filler usually swells the most and stays puffy the longest.
- Some people feel tenderness when chewing for a few days.
Say you have hollow under-eyes and a flat nasal bridge, and you're in Seoul for seven days with an evening flight on day seven. Here is how I would plan it:
- Day 1 or 2: the injection. I'd place the nose gel as planned and put only a small amount under the eyes.
- Day 5 or 6: I'd want to look at both areas again, so any swelling has time to settle before you travel.
- Day 7: your flight.
Adding a little more on a later trip is easy, but taking too much away isn't. With only a long weekend, I'd suggest choosing one area for this trip.

What decides the price of Neuramis filler in Korea?
There is no single price for 'Neuramis'. For your case, it depends on:
- Product and version chosen for each area (standard, deep, with or without lidocaine)
- Amount, meaning how many syringes the area actually needs
- Number of areas treated in the same visit
- The area itself, since the nose and under-eyes take more time and care than a single line
- Your days in Seoul, and whether there's time for a follow-up check before you leave
Foreign patients pay the same price as locals, and you get a written estimate before treatment. To get the figure for your own face, ask on WhatsApp what it would cost for your case, with a photo of each area you're considering. First-timers can also read the first-timer's guide to fillers in Korea.
How many days after filler can you fly home?
Flying isn't known to harm HA filler. You leave days in between so that swelling settles and any bruise, lump or worry shows up while you can still have it looked at in Seoul. Here is how the first week usually goes:
| When | What's common | What it means for your trip |
|---|---|---|
| Injection day | Redness, needle marks, swelling, numbness if lidocaine was used | Keep the evening quiet; skip alcohol, saunas and hard workouts |
| Days 1β3 | Swelling usually peaks, lips most; bruises may appear | Sightseeing is fine for most people; sunglasses help |
| Days 4β7 | Most swelling settles and small bumps soften | Time to have any concern checked before you leave |
Before you fly
Don't book filler for the day before your flight. The most common mistake with a Neuramis filler Korea trip is booking the injection for the last afternoon, when a late bruise or an uneven spot can no longer be checked in person.
For lips and under-eyes, I'd give yourself at least three days, and ideally five to seven, between the injection and the flight. A small nose or temple treatment usually needs less margin, but the same logic applies.
If you're not sure your days are enough, send your arrival and departure dates on WhatsApp with a side-profile photo in daylight. Then ask which day of your stay the appointment should fall on.

Are the online reviews about Korean fillers right?
A few claims show up again and again in review threads. Some hold up and some don't.
- 'Korean fillers wear off faster.' Mostly not true. How long an HA filler lasts depends far more on the area, the amount, how much the area moves and your own metabolism than on the country it was made in. Lips usually fade sooner than deeper areas.
- 'You can go sightseeing the same day.' Usually true for a small nose or temple treatment. Lips can look obviously swollen for a day or two, so plan photos accordingly.
- 'A lump in the first week means it failed.' Often not. Small early bumps commonly soften as swelling goes down. A lump that is still firm after about two weeks is worth showing a doctor.
- 'Deep versions are stronger, so they're better.' A firmer gel suits deep structural areas, not thin skin under the eye.
Risks and side effects to know
Common and temporary. The FDA lists bruising, redness, swelling, pain, tenderness and itching as the common effects of dermal fillers. They usually fade over several days to two weeks.
Who should wait or skip it. As general medicine, filler is usually postponed if you have:
- an active infection, cold sore or inflamed acne at the injection site
- a recent laser treatment or peel in the same area
- a pregnancy, or you're breastfeeding
- a known allergy to HA products or to lidocaine
- a bleeding disorder, or you take blood thinners (talk to your prescribing doctor first and never stop them on your own)
Rare but serious. If filler enters a blood vessel, it can block blood flow. The FDA warns this can damage skin and, rarely, affect vision. Warning signs are skin turning white or dusky, pain far beyond what you'd expect, or any change in vision. HA filler can be dissolved with an enzyme called hyaluronidase, which is one reason HA is the usual choice for first-timers.
If something appears after you fly home. Any vision change means going to an emergency department right away. Color change or severe pain in the treated skin needs same-day local care. After that, send a photo on WhatsApp. The CDC's medical tourism guidance advises arranging follow-up care at home and carrying copies of your records before you travel. Results and recovery vary from person to person, and your final plan is set at the in-person consultation.
Visiting HERA in Gangnam
When you come in, the specialist you consult with is the one who does your injection. It is never handed off to someone else. We're registered with Korea's Ministry of Health and Welfare, and consultations run with an English interpreter.
We're on the 4th floor at 9 Seocho-daero 73-gil, Seocho-gu. Hours are Monday and Friday 10:00β20:00, Tuesday to Thursday 10:00β19:00 and Saturday 10:00β17:00, with lunch from 13:00 to 14:00. We're closed Sundays and public holidays. If you land on a Saturday, you can still come in before 17:00, and an early appointment leaves more days for swelling to settle before your flight home.
Before you book flights, send the areas you're thinking about on WhatsApp, with one daylight photo of each, and ask about your case. If you want to know which product and version would be used, ask then too. When you come in, I'll examine the area in person and recommend only what it needs. <</SECTION>>
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Q1Does Neuramis contain lidocaine?
Some versions of Neuramis have lidocaine, a local anesthetic, mixed into the gel and some don't. If comfort during the injection worries you, ask at your consultation which product and version would be used for your area and whether it contains lidocaine.Q2How long does Neuramis filler last?
Like other hyaluronic acid fillers, it is temporary and slowly absorbed by the body. How long it lasts depends on the area, the amount, how much the area moves and your metabolism. Lips usually fade sooner than deeper areas such as the nose or temples.Q3Can I have several areas done in one visit?
Often, yes. Every extra area adds swelling at the same time, though, so on a short trip it's usually wiser to treat the area that matters most and leave the rest for another visit.Q4Can HA filler be dissolved if I don't like the result?
Hyaluronic acid filler can be dissolved with an enzyme called hyaluronidase. It's also the treatment used if filler blocks a blood vessel, which is one reason HA fillers are the common choice for first-time patients.Q5Do foreign patients pay more at HERA?
No. The price is the same as for Korean patients, and you receive a written estimate before treatment. For the figure for your own case, ask on WhatsApp with a photo of the areas you're considering.
