Korean Skin Booster Injection Price? Reviews & Recovery

Trying to pin down a Korean skin booster injection price before you book, when every clinic menu lists a dozen products you've never heard of?
Read this before you send the same question to five clinics.
By the end you'll know what moves the price, which review claims hold up, how the main methods differ and what recovery looks like across your days in Seoul. That's enough to pick a booster that fits your skin and your budget.
Hello, I'm Dr. Kim Jong Seon, Director of Gangnam HERA Plastic Surgery Clinic.
HERA is registered with Korea's Ministry of Health and Welfare to treat international patients, three minutes from Gangnam Station. International patients pay the same price as local patients, consultations run with an English interpreter, and you receive a written estimate before treatment.
I'm writing this because people often compare clinics by one quoted number, and each number covers a different product, amount and session count.
A skin booster's price in Korea is set mainly by which product goes in, how much your face needs and how many sessions the plan calls for. Device-assisted methods add to it, and the figure for your own skin comes from a consultation and a written estimate.
If you'd like a starting point, send one daylight photo of your face without makeup on WhatsApp, name the one thing that bothers you most (dryness, pores, scars or dull tone), and ask which booster type fits it and what it would cost for your case.

Which skin booster suits your concern?
βSkin boosterβ is a menu category, and the products inside it work in different ways. The first thing to settle is what you want changed: dryness, pores, acne scars or tone.
| Booster on HERA's menu | What it is | Often considered for |
|---|---|---|
| Aqua Glow Injection | Hyaluronic acid delivered into the skin for deep moisture | Dehydrated, dull-looking skin |
| Rejuran | Polynucleotide (PN) skin booster | Thin, tired-looking skin and fine texture |
| Juvelook | Collagen-stimulating poly-D,L-lactic acid (PLLA) | Gradual firmness, fine lines, some acne scarring |
| Potenza Exosome | Potenza RF microneedling plus an ASCE+ exosome booster | Pores, uneven texture, acne scars |
The full list, including other collagen and hyaluronic boosters, is on HERA's English site. If PN is what you're weighing, the Rejuran guide to polynucleotide boosters goes deeper, and the Juvelook PLLA guide covers how collagen stimulation builds over the weeks after a session.
If you searched for peptide injections for skin, you may be thinking of PN. Polynucleotides are chains of DNA fragments, a different molecule from peptides, and HERA's menu doesn't list a peptide injection. PDRN, a term you'll also see, is a shorter-chain relative of PN; a review in Pharmaceutics compares how the two act in skin.
A booster works on skin quality. It won't lift a jawline that has dropped or fill a hollow cheek, so if sagging or volume loss is your main concern, lifting or filler is the conversation to have first, and a booster may come after.
Say you're 34, in Seoul for five days, with dry skin that looks flat under office lights and a few shallow acne marks. A hydration booster fits inside one trip. PLLA and PN are usually planned as a series spaced weeks apart, so on a five-day visit you'd be paying for the first session of a course you'd need to continue later. I'd want you to know that before you choose which one to price.
What decides the price of a skin booster course?
Five things move a Korean skin booster injection price, roughly in this order.
The product comes first. A hyaluronic hydration booster, a PN booster and a PLLA booster are priced differently even for the same area, because the products themselves cost different amounts.
Then the amount and the area. Full face, under-eyes and neck each take a different amount of product, and adding the neck to a face plan adds product to the estimate.
Then the number of sessions. Collagen-stimulating boosters are usually planned as a series, so check whether any figure you've seen is for one session or for the whole course.
Then the method. Hand injection and a device-assisted treatment such as Potenza RF microneedling use different time and consumables.
Last, what else happens that day. Pairing a booster with a lifting device changes the total; the Thermage cost guide shows how a device line sits on an estimate, and fat-dissolving injection prices follow similar logic for contouring.
To get the figure for your own case, write on WhatsApp with your travel dates and the booster you're curious about, and ask whether it fits as one session inside those dates or needs a course, and what that would cost for you.

What do skin booster reviews get right and wrong?
Review threads about Korean boosters tend to repeat three claims.
βOne session gave me glass skin.β Partly true for hydration boosters, which can make skin look dewier within days; that look fades as the hyaluronic acid is absorbed. PN and PLLA build gradually.
βThe bumps lasted a week.β Small raised bumps at the injection points are common right after PN and hyaluronic boosters, and for most people they flatten within a day or two. A bruise can take longer, which is usually where a week-long story comes from.
βI paid this much.β Prices quoted in reviews rarely line up, because they mix single vials with full courses, include or leave out numbing and device work, and go out of date. They show that a price exists; they aren't your number.
Who injects you, and what goes into your skin
Two things decide whether a booster plan is worth its estimate: the product actually used and the hands using it. At HERA, the specialist who consults with you is the one who performs your treatment, and it isn't handed off. Only genuine, approved products are used, and the sealed vial is opened in front of you.
We don't rush through high volumes, and HERA's directors keep taking part in academic conferences in Korea and abroad.
How long is recovery after a skin booster?
On the day, expect small bumps or pinpoint marks where the needle went in, some redness, and tightness as the numbing cream wears off. After RF microneedling the face usually looks flushed, like mild sunburn. Many doctors suggest skipping makeup on the treated area for the rest of the day and leaving sauna, alcohol and hard workouts for a day or two.
By day 3, bumps have usually flattened and redness has faded for most people. A bruise, if you got one, may be turning yellow and is easy to cover with makeup.
By day 7, most people look as they did before treatment, with the hydration effect showing. PN and PLLA changes keep building over the following weeks, which is why a course is judged after it ends.
Before you fly
Avoid booking a booster the day before your flight home. Leaving a couple of days means a bruise or a bump that doesn't settle can be looked at while you're still in Seoul.
Risks and side effects to know
The common reactions are short-lived: redness, swelling, tenderness, small bumps and bruising at the injection points, usually settling within a few days. The US FDA's page on dermal fillers lists the same kinds of effects for hyaluronic acid fillers, a related product class, along with rare serious problems such as product entering a blood vessel.
As a general rule, wait or skip a booster for now if you have an active acne flare, infection or cold sore where the injections would go, had a laser treatment or peel recently, take or recently took isotretinoin, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or are allergic to an ingredient. PN is commonly derived from salmon DNA, so mention any fish allergy.
If, after you're home, a lump grows instead of settling, pain increases, redness spreads with warmth or fever, or an area of skin turns pale or dusky, see a local doctor promptly and bring the product name from your vial photo. The CDC's medical tourism advice is to plan for follow-up care at home and carry copies of your treatment records, which is worth sorting out before you leave Seoul.
How skin responds varies from person to person, and whether a booster suits you is decided when the doctor examines your skin.
Visiting HERA in Gangnam
HERA is on the 4th floor at 9 Seocho-daero 73-gil, Seocho-gu, three minutes from Gangnam Station. Hours are 10:00 to 20:00 on Monday and Friday, 10:00 to 19:00 Tuesday to Thursday and 10:00 to 17:00 on Saturday, with a lunch break from 13:00 to 14:00. The clinic is closed on Sundays and public holidays, so if you land on a Saturday evening, your first possible visit is Monday.
The first message can be small: one photo of your skin in daylight is enough, and you can ask before booking anything. Send it on WhatsApp with the one question you most want answered, for example which booster fits dry skin with shallow scars and what it would cost for you. When you come in, the doctor examines your skin, recommends only what it needs, and you get the written estimate before anything is injected.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Q1Can I finish a skin booster course in one trip to Seoul?
For a hydration booster, one session within a single trip is common. PN and PLLA boosters are usually planned as a series spaced weeks apart, so a short trip often covers the first session only. Ask about the plan for your booster and your dates before you book.Q2Are peptide injections the same as skin boosters?
No. Peptides are chains of amino acids, while PN boosters such as Rejuran are made of DNA fragments. HERA's menu lists PN, PLLA, hyaluronic and exosome boosters, and no peptide injection.Q3Does a skin booster injection hurt?
Areas with thin skin, such as under the eyes, tend to feel sharper. RF microneedling feels warm and prickly through the numbing.Q4Can I combine a skin booster with a lifting treatment on the same visit?
Sometimes. A device lifts or tightens while a booster works on skin quality, so they can be paired, and each adds its own line to the estimate. Whether pairing them suits your skin is decided at the consultation.
