Forehead Filler Cost in Korea: What Changes the Estimate

I'm Dr. Kim Jong Seon, the filler specialist at Gangnam HERA in Seoul, and a board member of both the International Petit Medical Society and the Korean Society of Aesthetic Surgery (KSAS). Forehead filler enquiries from abroad often skip the greeting and go straight to the point: "How much is forehead filler in Korea?" I will not put a number on this page, and I want to be clear about why. The forehead is a wide area, and the amount it needs varies more from one face to the next than almost any other part of the face. Whether filler is even the right tool β rather than botox β changes the answer completely. What I can give you is what moves the cost, and an itemised written estimate after consultation, before anything begins. International and local patients pay exactly the same.
Why won't I quote a forehead filler price online?
Because "forehead filler" can mean softening one small dent or rounding the whole forehead from brow to hairline, and a single figure cannot describe both. One patient has a groove across the middle; another has a forehead that slopes back along its full height. Both ask for forehead filler. A published price would be accurate for one of them and misleading for the other.
What works better is a photo consultation. From a front photograph and a side view, I can usually tell you how much of the forehead is involved, whether the temples are part of the picture, and whether filler is the right tool at all. The written estimate then lists each item separately.

What changes the cost of forehead filler?
Four things: how much of the forehead is treated, the amount of filler in millilitres, whether the product is domestic or imported, and whether the plan is done in one stage or two.
1. The area
Filling a single dent is a different job from building a continuous curve from brow to hairline. The wider the area, the more product and time it takes.
2. The amount, in mL
Filler is measured in millilitres (mL), and this is the line that moves the most. A forehead that is flatter or more sloped needs more support than one with a small groove. I plan conservatively, because a forehead that looks too full is almost always overfilled β and taking filler away means dissolving it.
3. Domestic or imported product
At HERA we use hyaluronic-acid fillers, both domestic and imported. The main practical difference is how long they tend to last: around 6 to 12 months for domestic and 12 to 18 months for imported, depending on the area and your metabolism. Imported products usually cost more per session and may need topping up less often. I show you both on the estimate, and the choice is yours.
4. One stage or two
For a forehead that needs a larger change, I often recommend two sessions rather than one: a conservative first stage, a review once the swelling has settled, and a second stage only if it is still needed. That plan appears on the estimate in two parts, so you know from the start what each involves.
Is filler even the right spend for your forehead?
Only if the forehead is flat, sloped or hollow at rest β lines that appear when you raise your eyebrows are a muscle problem that filler will not fix. This is the part of the conversation that saves patients the most money.
- A flat or dented shape at rest: filler is the tool.
- Lines only when the brows move: botox is the tool. Our guide to forehead botox explains the muscle side, and how much botox costs in Korea explains how that is estimated.
- Both: I usually address shape first and review movement afterwards, and each item has its own line on the estimate.
Who forehead filler suits, and how it is placed, is covered in our forehead filler guide.

What does a forehead filler estimate at HERA include?
Every step needed to treat the forehead properly is written down before anything begins. A typical plan covers:
- Consultation and analysis β your profile, proportions and goal
- Design and marking β the curve is drawn before any injection
- Anaesthesia β topical ointment, or local anaesthesia where needed
- Injection and shaping β the doctor places and molds the filler and checks symmetry with you
- Aftercare guidance β before you leave
A session usually takes around 10 to 15 minutes of treatment time. The forehead has important blood vessels close to the brow, so the depth and placement a doctor chooses matter more than the price per syringe. When you compare quotes, check the product, the amount, who injects, and whether a review is included. A lower total for less product is a different treatment, not a better deal.
Should the temples be part of the estimate?
Sometimes β the forehead and temples form one upper-face curve, and treating one alone can make the other look more hollow. If your temples are noticeably hollow, I will show you, but they are never added without your agreement, and they appear as a separate line.
Our guides to temple filler and temple filler cost explain how that area is assessed and estimated. When forehead, temples, cheeks and jaw are planned as one continuous line, that is our C-line lifting filler, and each area is still listed separately.
How does the choice of product change what you spend over a year?
A filler that lasts longer is repeated less often, so compare the cost per year of result rather than the cost of one visit. If you come to Seoul once a year, a product that tends to last longer may fit your travel. If you live nearby or visit often, a domestic product with more frequent top-ups can make sense. Results vary from person to person, so at consultation I give you a realistic range rather than a date.
Plan the timing too. Mild swelling, redness or a small bruise usually settles within two to three days, so book early in your stay rather than the day before a flight, and leave room for a review visit. For filler costs across the face, see our Korean filler price guide.

What are the honest limits?
Forehead filler is temporary, so its real cost includes maintenance, and it cannot reshape bone or remove movement lines. It builds a soft curve over the structure you have, and if you want a large change in projection, filler is the wrong tool and I will tell you so. What I can promise is an estimate you can read line by line, a plan aimed at the right cause, and a conservative first session. To see what the change looks like, read forehead filler before and after or visit our before-and-after gallery. The clinical detail is on our facial filler page, and the first-timer's guide to fillers in Korea explains how a visit runs.
Book a consultation
If you would like a plan and a written estimate for your forehead, send a photograph from the front and one from the side, with your hair off your forehead. We will arrange a consultation in Gangnam, or a photo consultation first if you are still abroad. An English interpreter joins every visit, and you receive an itemised written estimate before anything begins β international and local patients pay exactly the same.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Q1How much is forehead filler in Korea?
It depends on your plan, so HERA gives an itemised written estimate after consultation instead of one online price. The cost changes with how much of the forehead is treated, the amount of filler, domestic or imported product, and whether the plan is done in one stage or two.Q2Do international patients pay more for forehead filler at HERA?
No. International and local patients pay exactly the same, and an English interpreter goes through the estimate with you before anything begins.Q3Is filler or botox the right spend for my forehead?
Filler treats a flat, sloped or hollow shape at rest; botox treats lines that appear when the brows move. Paying for filler when the problem is movement is money spent on the wrong treatment.Q4How long does forehead filler last?
Domestic hyaluronic-acid fillers generally last around 6β12 months and imported ones 12β18 months, depending on the area and metabolism. Results vary from person to person.Q5Why might forehead filler be done in two stages?
A conservative first session with a review after swelling settles avoids overfilling, which can only be corrected by dissolving the filler. A second stage is added only if it is still needed.
